But how bad could it get?

It seems to me (and this is just me speaking) that "either we all hang together, or we'll all hang separately". 

(Trivia question for your table - who said that?)

This coming Sunday night is Shavuot - What timing - it's the only holiday that is predicated on Jewish unity. 

Question for your table: if we didn't have a common enemy to unite us, is there any other plausible way we could unite?
